Shipping & Returns

Live plants will experience stress from shipping conditions (lack of light, reduced airflow, and physical movement). Please watch your order's tracking and ensure someone is available the day of delivery to immediately retrieve the package; plants cannot survive being outside in extreme weather. Please open your package immediately and provide an appropriate amount of water and light. It is normal for the soil to be dry and leaves to be limp, it may take up to 2 weeks for your plant to adjust to its new environment. We strongly suggest you do not repot your new plant (this will cause additional stress) for at least one month after it arrives.

Shipping without a heat pack and/or upgraded shipping is at the buyer's sole risk and all such sales are final with no refund/return/exchange. Customers concerned about cold damage should consider waiting until daytime temperatures are above freezing before ordering or request a hold on their order in advance.

The Philodendron Plant

The Philodendron is a large genus of flowering plants in the family Araceae. As of September 2015, the World Checklist of Selected Plant Families accepted 489 species; other sources accept different numbers. Regardless of number of species, the genus is the second-largest member of the family Araceae, after genus Anthurium. Taxonomically, the genus Philodendron is still poorly known, with many undescribed species. Many are grown as ornamental and indoor plants. The name derives from the Greek words philo- or "love, affection" and dendron or "tree". The generic name, Philodendron, is often used as the English name.
