Syngonium in 4 inch pot

Care Instructions

Light: Thrives in bright indirect light but will tolerate low light settings

Water: Water when the top couple of inches of soil are dry

Humidity: High humidity. Mist regularly if humidity is an issue

Fertilizer: fertilize your Syngonium once every 14 days in the spring and summer and not at all during the fall and winter

Soil: light soil mixture that retains moisture but also lets excess water escape easily to prevent rot. Try mixing equal parts potting soil, sphagnum moss and fine orchid bark for a happy arrowhead plant

Temperature: Typical household temperature

Repotting: When the Syngonium starts to become root-bound you know it's time to repot it

Toxicity: Yes to both humans and pets if eaten

Shipping & Returns

Live plants will experience stress from shipping conditions (lack of light, reduced airflow, and physical movement). Please watch your order's tracking and ensure someone is available the day of delivery to immediately retrieve the package; plants cannot survive being outside in extreme weather. Please open your package immediately and provide an appropriate amount of water and light. It is normal for the soil to be dry and leaves to be limp, it may take up to 2 weeks for your plant to adjust to its new environment. We strongly suggest you do not repot your new plant (this will cause additional stress) for at least one month after it arrives.

The Syngonium Plant

Syngonium is a genus of flowering plants in the family Araceae, native to tropical rainforests in southern Mexico, the West Indies, Central and South America. They are woody vines growing to heights of 10–20 m or more in trees. They have leaves that change shape according to the plant's stage of growth, and adult leaf forms are often much more lobed than the juvenile forms usually seen on small house plants. The scientific name of the genus comes from the Greek words σύν ( syn - plus, z) and γονή ( gone - gonada) and refers to the fused ovaries of female flowers
